Naykal in Sangareddy records 4 cm rainfall

Medak: Isolated rain occurred in Telangana during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, with Naykal, in Sangareddy district, recording 4 cm of rainfall. The Met department bulletin said while there was 2 cm of rainfall in Ramayampet (Medak district), one cm each occurred in Hathanoor( Sangareddy), Shadnagar (Ranga Reddy) and Medak).

The rain is being attributed to an upper air cyclonic circulation lying over south interior Karnataka & neighbourhood, extending up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level. The trough from north interior Karnataka to the Comorin area across south interior Karnataka and interior Tamil Nadu at 1.5 km above the mean sea level has become less marked.

According to the bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are forecast at isolated place across the State on May 25. Dry weather is likely to prevail on May 26, 27 and 28. No large change during the period May 29-31 is the weather outlook.

The bulletin warned that heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets across Telangana on May 26, 27 and 28. Public have been advised not to expose directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions.
