Need of women empowerment, Swachh Bharat stressed in Wanaparthy
Wanaparthy: Women empowerment and implementation of Swachh Bharat are the two major key issues that need to be addressed in rural areas, said the members of Royals Welfare Society, who visited Dwaraka Nagar village of Madanapur mandal in Wanaparthy district during their 10-day awareness camp for rural folks on various welfare and developmental programmes.
After the completion of the camp, the members of Society met District Collector Swetha Mohanti and shared their views and suggestions with regard to resolution of various problems faced by the rural people in the village.
The Society members, who had visited Dwaraka Nagar village from 17 to 27 June, took part in various awareness programmes like Swachh Bharat, Haritha Haram and Women empowerment. They also held interactive sessions with villagers and discussed various issues, problems and challenges faced by them. They also discussed Right to Information Act and its importance, women empowerment and its impact on overall development. They also shared information regarding prevailing violence against women and how they should tackle it.
