Wanaparthy: Nellacheruvu tank bund decked up for Mega Bathukamma celebrations today

Wanaparthy: The district administration has made all necessary arrangements for the Mega Bathukamma celebrations to be held on Wednesday. As part of this, District Collector Swetha Mohanty and Superintendent of Police Apoorva Rao visited the Nellacheruvu tank bund on Tuesday and inspected the preparations for the celebrations.

The SP and the Collector urged the public to take part in the celebrations in a big way and make the Mega Bathukamma a grand success. "As there are a large number of people expected to take part in the Mega Bathukamma celebrations, we are ensuring that the entire Nallecheru tank bund is adequately lit and proper security measures are kept in place. We are ensuring the public are kept in order during the programme and everything goes in a peaceful and joyful manner," said the Collector.

Apoorva Rao said that as part of the security measures, the police have set up barricades on the tank bund and elaborate arrangements have been made for the large procession which would be taken out from Gopalpet road to the tank bund. "The Wanaparthy police have taken all measures to ensure that the Mega Bathukamma procession is held peacefully. As Ministers, legislators, political leaders, administrative officials and bureaucrats from different departments along with general public are expected to take part in a big way, we are ensuring all necessary security measures for tomorrow's programme," said the SP.
