New Born abducted from Khammam hospital traced in Vijayawada

The 16-day-old baby girl who was abducted from the government hospital in Khammam four days ago has been traced in Vijayawada on Saturday.

The mother Ramadevi, suspected a woman who befriended her at the hospital. Ramadevi said that the woman took the baby from the grandmother saying that she will give milk to the newborn and take her to the doctor's room.

She further alleged that she noticed the woman feeding her baby when he came from the washroom and then fled with the child on the pretext of giving an injection to the baby on the ground floor.

The accused took the baby to a hospital in Vijayawada for treatment where the doctors informed the police. The police caught the woman and three others and handed over the baby to her mother. The arrested were sent to Khammam two town police station.

The baby is being given treatment at a hospital.
