Hyderabad: NGO raises 1.5 lakh for infant's surgery
Hyderabad: A city-based NGO, People Helping Children raised Rs 1.5 lakh as part of the heart surgery expenses on a 45-day-old baby. The baby, who needed immediate surgery, was born with congenital heart disease to Ramolu Srinivas and Ramolu Kavya at Bimunipatnam in Visakhapatnam. While the total cost of operation was Rs 3 lakh, the PHC team under Saving Lives Programme raised half of the operation cost and the remaining was raised by another NGO.
The operation was done on February 12, the baby is doing well informed hospital authorities. People Helping Children NGO in India has saved lives of over 30 children from emergency health issues, Working relentlessly in three sectors food, health & education, the NGO has served 7,612 underprivileged children in India.
