NHRC likely to submit report to Supreme Court today

Hyderabad: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) members continued their enquiry on fourth day into Disha's rape, murder and the encounter of four accused in Chatanpally.

They questioned the Shamshabad and Shadnagar police, who were investigating the case and sought complete report from them. The police submitted a detailed report to the NHRC team.

The police submitted a detailed report on encounter, post-mortem and forensic report including technical evidences, blood stains and DNA report which they collected during their investigation.

The NHRC members also interrogated the two injured officers who were undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hitec city, after they sustained injuries in the alleged attack by four accused. According to sources, the NHRC team is likely to submit their report on Wednesday to the Supreme Court.

Cyberabad CP in Delhi

Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar went to Delhi on Tuesday in view of hearing by the Supreme Court on Wednesday on the two cases filed against the alleged encounter at Chatanpally.

The petitioners alleged that it was a fake encounter. The CP went to submit a report and clarification of the police version to the advocate.

SIT intensifies probe

The SIT team headed by Rachakonda CP Mahesh M Bhagwat received the FIR copies, panchanama, details of the seizures and other key documents related to Disha's case and encounter report from the investigation officers of Cyberabad.

According to sources, the SIT members are likely to visit the incident spot on Wednesday and analyse the reports received by the Cyberabad police on encounter.

They are also going to question the police who participated in the encounter and the two injured police to seek clarifications on the incident.

Bodies preserved at Gandhi Hospital mortuary

The bodies of four accused who were shot dead in an alleged encounter were shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary on Monday late night from Mahbubnagar government hospital amidst tight security.

They were preserved in 7, 8, 9 and 10 number freezer boxes. As the High Court ordered the government to preserve the bodies in Gandhi Hospital till December 13, police officials shifted the bodies.

Shadnagar police arranged tight security at the mortuary. Gopalapuram ACP on Tuesday morning visited the mortuary and reviewed the bandobust arrangements.

Security beefed up at Disha's house

Keeping the sensitivity of the case in view, on the orders of senior officials, the RGI Airport police have tightened the security at Disha's house premises.

A picket is also stationed at their house and about ten police officers in different shifts were deployed at the house of victim.
