NHRC team quizzes Revenue, Police officers
Hyderabad: The seven-member team of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Monday intensified enquiry into alleged encounter of accused in Disha murder case.
The team which was staying at RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy since Monday interrogated the Revenue officials, who did panchanama at the Chatanpally encounter site of the four accused's bodies and sought clarifications. Two MRO's, two VRO's and two VRA's appeared before the team and presented the details.
The Revenue officials submitted information on what they found when they reached the encounter site and based on what evidences they conducted the panchanama.
The NHRC team later interrogated the police officials, who were involved in the encounter, and sought clarification. The NHRC team asked the police personnel to narrate what happened from reaching the spot till the encounter to identify whether the encounter was real or fake.
The team also focused on the incidents that happened before and after the encounter. The team members also decided to seek information from two cops, Sub-Inspector Venkateshwarlu and Constable Arvind Goud, who were undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Hitec City.
The team is likely to continue their enquiry on Tuesday also and would reportedly interrogate forensic doctors of Gandhi Hospital. According to sources, the team would prepare a final and comprehensive report on the encounter incident on Tuesday with all the facts and information collected.
Earlier, the team visited Mahbubnagar Hospital and sought information from the doctors after observing the bodies' post-mortem report. They had also spoke to the accused's family members in Mahbubnagar and victim's family members in Hyderabad and recorded their statements.
