Nirmal: 3 green zones to be set up in every village
Nirmal: Under the government's prestigious Haritha Haram programme, three green zones will be arranged in every village, informed District Collector M Prashanthi.
Addressing a review meeting at the Collector's conference hall here on Monday, she directed the official concerned to identify places to set up green zones in every village. She also wanted the officials to arrange tree guards to the saplings planted under Haritha Haram earlier and asked them to submit a detailed report on the number of green zones identified and Brushwood fencing before Wednesday (July 3).
Stating that very a smaller number of toilets were constructed in Kadam, Khanapur and Laxmana Chanda mandals in the district, the Collector told the staff concerned to construct more number of toilets with the help of Special Officers. For the construction of individual toilets, Rs 12 crores were sanctioned, she added and told the officials to submit daily report on the progress of the construction of individual toilets.
Collector Prashanthi directed
District Education Officer Pranitha to distribute books to BC, SC, ST and Model schools.
DRDO Venkateshwarlu, Joint Collector A Bhaskar Rao, Social Welfare Officer Kishan Yadav, Area Hospital Superintendent D Naresh and others were present at the review meeting.
