Nirmal: Expedite development in district, Collector Musharaf Ali Farooqi instructs officials

Nirmal: District Collector Musharaf Ali Farooqi ordered officials to speed up development works undertaken in the district.

The Collector held a meeting and reviewed progress of double bedroom houses, individual toilets, Mission Bhageeratha, Mission Kakatiya and other schemes at Collectorate in Nirmal District on Thursday.

Reviewing the Palle Pragathi programme he asked the officials how many dumping yards, graveyards, nurseries were established and how many tractors were distributed to the Gram Panchayats. He asked officials to supply tractors to remaining Gram Panchayats within ten days. The Collector asked how many lakh saplings have been planted in the village nurseries to meet the plantation target.

He also asked them to identify grave yards and dumping yards and uploaded their detail online by Saturday. District Rural development officer said last year 1.20 crore saplings were planted under the Haritha Haram scheme in the district and 85 percent of them are alive.

The Collector pointed out that the individual toilet works which are still pending in the district should be completed quickly. He also advised them to finalise the tenders for the double bedroom and start the constructions, and to arrange immediate water supply to 710 habitations, to every household tap connection in rural areas. He made it clear that review meetings will be held every week on development of works.

Rural Development Officer venkateshwarlu, Zilla Parishad CEO Sudheer, District Panchayat Officer Srinivas, District Irrigation Officer Ramesh, Electricity SE Chouhan, District Treasury Officer Prabhakar Rao, RWS SE Mallesham, Panchayatraj Se Sudarshan, District Cooperative Officer Satyanaryana, Housing DE Narsaiah, Collectorate Superindent Hima Bindu and others were present.
