Nirmal: Special officers told to inspect greenery, cleanliness

Nirmal: District Collector M Prashanthi directed the Special Officers to inspect greenery and cleanliness in villages at a review meeting at the Collector's conference hall in Nirmal on Monday. She told them to visit their respective mandals to inspect the works that have been started under 30-day Special Action Plan.

The Collector asked the officers to submit detailed report of 30-day actions plan activities and must arrange dumping yard in every village and to prepare estimation for the construction of sheds to separate wet and dry garbage. For each shed Rs 2.5 lakhs will be sanctioned. The officials were further directed to arrange fencing and gate to every nursery and check water supply and availability of plants at the nursery. 'Review meeting with sarpanch and panchayat secretaries should be conducted on a regular basis to ensure that the drainages are cleaned every week and also to enquire about collecting dust from each house.'

The Collector told them to inspect electric third wire works, unused wells. The Panchayat Officer was told to pay the bills of October month. Later, Collector Prashanthi distributed transfer orders to a few tahsildars.
