Nizamabad: District Collector C Narayana Reddy said that slots should be booked online for Sadaram camps set up to confirm and verify the disability percentage of the disabled and only those, who have booked slots, will be allowed to enter the camps.

He held a conference with the authorities concerned on the steps to be taken for the management of Sadaram camps in the district and necessary arrangements here on Friday.

The Collector informed that these camps would be conducted in three divisional centres in the district. Sadaram camp will be conducted in government hospital on December 7 in Nizamabad revenue division; on December 9 in Bodhan; and on December 16 in Armoor. The camp will be conducted for three weeks in each division - one day per week - and conduct examinations for 30 persons per week and issue certificates on the disability.

Collector Narayana Reddy advised the authorities to extend the camp further depending on the demand. Documents should be issued to those who have already undergone examinations and are not certified, he stated and specifically directed the DRDA and medical department officials to make necessary arrangements for the issuance of disability certificates on the day of the examinations to be conducted on any given day.

The Collector directed the administrators to ensure that all necessary regulations are followed in view of the coronavirus. He suggested the hearing impaired should go to the camps organised by Koti Hospital in Hyderabad as there are no facilities in the district to test the hearing impaired.
