Nizamabad: Ex-MP Narayana Reddy cremated with full State honours

Nizamabad: Former MP M Narayana Reddy was cremated at his farm 'Krishi Darshan Centre' in Dharmaram on Monday with full State honours in the presence of Ministers, district administration and his followers. Reddy's son Arun Reddy lit the funeral pyre.

The former MP breathed his last on Sunday at a private hospital in Nizamabad while undergoing treatment for respiratory problem.

Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Ministers A Indrakaran Reddy and Vemula Prashant Reddy and others were present at the funeral. The arrangements were made by revenue and police departments under the supervision of District Collector C Narayana Reddy and Police Commissioner Karthikeya.

Deceased Narayana Reddy's daughters, family members, villagers, farmers and others attended the funeral programme in large numbers. Zilla Parishad Chairman Vittal Rao, City Mayor Neetu Kiran, MLCs VG Goud, Jeevan Reddy, urban legislators Bigala Ganesh Gupta, former Speaker Suresh Reddy, District Revenue Officer Anjaiah, RDO Venkataiah, ACP Srinivas Kumar, public representatives and district officials were present.
