Nizamabad: Give details of Yasangi crop planting assessment
Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao has directed the officials concerned to submit an estimation of the crops to be cultivated in the Yasangi season immediately.
Speaking at a meeting with agricultural officials and bank officials at his chamber here on Friday, the Collector said paddy and other crops had been cultivated on a large scale during Kharif season doe to abundant rains. In the same way, there are chances that the farmers may cultivate on large scale due to the availability of sufficient water in projects, ponds and borewells during this rabi also.
Hence, supply seeds, fertilisers and also crop loans to the farmers as per their needs, he ordered the officials of agriculture and banks.
For this, the Collector told the officials to collect the details of maize, chilli, groundnut, rice and others crops that would be cultivated.
According to the estimation of cultivable area, farmers can buy seeds and fertilisers. Collector Rammohan Rao also told to maintain maximum quantity of fertiliser buffer. Not only this, this will facilitate to set up purchase centres and other amenities in advance and also to ensure that the farmers will not face problems after they get the yield.
Rao said that all these details should be taken into consideration by the available resources and jointly collected by the officials of agriculture, horticulture, irrigation and planning departments.
The meeting was attended by district agriculture officer Govind, horticulture officer Narsing Das, chief planning officer Sri Ramulu, and officials of irrigation, agriculture and other departments.
