Nizamabad: People impose self-lockdown

Nizamabad: People themselves are imposing lockdown after observing the increasing corona positive cases in the erstwhile Nizamabad district. Document writers have decided to shut down their offices from Tuesday (June 16) to the 22 in Nizamabad, while people have decreased the working hours of Rajampeta mandal headquarters in Kamareddy district, declaring that any activity and services has to be done from 6 am to 2 pm only.

Self-restrictions are being imposed in villages of Armor division to prevent the spread of coronavirus. All meat shops, chai hotels, salons and garment shops in Alur village will be closed for 15 days. Grocery stores should be opened for eight hours per day, along with following norms.

Maggidi gram panchayat has decided to penalise anyone, who comes into the street without mask. Public representatives and village elders have resolved to strictly enforce lockdown in Domakonda mandal headquarters and decided to keep the business establishments open till 2 pm.

Gram panchayat governing council has issued a fine of Rs 2,000 if anyone violates the terms and conditions. Restrictions on business, commercial organisations, hotels, saloons, pan shops, footwear shops, private offices in Domakonda.

After the government gave permission to private hospitals to conduct corona tests, Rush, Jaya and Jivadan hospitals in Kamareddy district were selected for conducting the tests and they were inspected by medical and revenue officials. Samples collection from 18 people.

District administration is in the process of identifying primary contacts of a corona patient belonging to district headquarters. On Tuesday, 18 people were identified having corona symptoms. The medical team has collected samples of 16 primary contacts from Kamareddy and two other primaries from Banswada.

These samples were sent to Hyderabad for diagnosis.
