Nizamabad: The State government has spent Rs 89.60 lakhs so far to supply tractors to gram panchayats in Nizamabad rural zone as part of Palle Pragathi, said Dharpally ZPTC member Bajireddy Jagan Mohan.

He handed over tractors to the sarpanches of the villages of Nizamabad rural mandal at his residence in Dharpally on Tuesday.

Jagan Mohan said that Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Govardhan has granted 16 tractors to Dharpally mandal in cooperation with the State government. These tractors are useful in making the villages clean as part of Palle Pragati programme introduced by the government. 'The government's aim is to see that all the people in villages will be healthy, which is possible only if the villages are clean. Hence, the government launched Palle Pragathi,' he explained.

MPPs, vice MPPs, ZPTC and MPTC members, sarpanches and others attended the programme.
