No benefit with Telangana police academy, says director VK Singh

Telangana police academy director VK Singh made a controversial statement over the academy saying that there is no use with the academy and the government is wasting money by spending over it.

He added that even the national police academy having the similar issue. Addressing media at the academy, he said that the criminals entering jail are learning new techniques in committing crimes by learning from their inmates.

Though the police are serving the people, there is no proper respect to them from the people," he said adding that the rules proposed by the Britishers are still in existing in the police department.

"About 90 per cent criminals are from a poor background and some of them not even aware as to why they were arrested," he said.

He also said that he was disappointed when a survey announced that the state secured second place in corruption. "Though I could not bring changes in the society, I hope to change the training," VK Singh said.
