No compromise on academic integrity in Warangal
Warangal: Dr T Manohar, professor of history, Kakatiya University (KU), has been appointed as the Coordinator of the Shodhganga and Anti-Plagiarism Cell, KU. The KU Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna issued orders in this regard here on Friday.
It may be noted here that Coordinator, Anti-Plagiarism, is said to be a key post that looks after the responsibility of certifying academic and research work done leading to partial fulfilment of for the award of degrees at Masters and Research level by a student or a faculty or a researcher or a staff in the form of thesis, dissertation and publication of research papers.
As the certification reflects the academic integrity and originality, the Anti-Plagiarism Cell thoroughly checks content whether it was plagiarised or original. The Cell will take decisions in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions, Regulations, 2018.
The SC/ST Employees Union of the SDLCE, KU, president and secretary Dr Kotte Bhaskar and Dr Sangala Ephraim Raj said that the ongoing research work in the varsity would reach new heights and bring accolades with of Dr T Manohar's appointment.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Manohar said: "I will strive hard to uphold the reputation of the KU. There would be no compromise on academic integrity." SC/ST SDLCE leaders A Sadaiah and M Venkateshwarlu were among others present.
