Hyderabad: No jumbling of hall tickets for ensuing SSC examinations

Hyderabad: There will be no jumbling of hall tickets numbers for the ensuing Class X examinations. According to the State School Education Department (SSED) officials, earlier examinations were conducted in nearly 2,500 examination centres across the State following the jumbling system of hall ticket numbers, to ensure that students belonging to the same institution are not allocated the same examination centre.

However, this time the officials have decided to give a miss to it. Speaking to The Hans India, Additional Director (Model Schools) A Satyanarayana Reddy said earlier students had written examinations in 2,500 centres spread across the State. Given the current requirement of maintaining physical distancing, the department is identifying another 2,000 additional centres. Similarly, 20 to 24 students were allocated in each of the examination halls in the past but now there will be only 10 to 12 students per examination hall. For this, the SSED has decided not to reissue any new hall tickets for the students with new examination centres.

Instead, the new examination centres are identified in the vicinity or on the same premises as the existing ones, where the students have earlier given their examinations.

"All those students who have earlier allocated with the hall ticket number in the existing examination centres will now be distributed among the newly identified examination centre," he added. The students will be informed about their new examination centre as soon as the process of distribution is completed.

Also, the TSBIE mobile application will provide a route map to the students giving details of their new examination centre. This makes it easy for them to identify the location. Since the newly allocated centres are mostly identified in the vicinity of the existing ones, the officials hope it will not cause any constraints to the students or the parents.

Further, along with the allocation details, the SSED will also be giving new guidelines to the students about the Dos and Don'ts and the facilities available at the centre and to follow the physical distancing norms while attending and giving their examinations.
