Now, no coronavirus-free districts in Telangana
With the first case being reported from Warangal rural district in Telangana on Tuesday, no coronavirus free districts left in the state. Earlier, Yadadri and Warangal rural were the two districts with zero positive cases. However, things changed with the massive spike in the coronavirus cases for two weeks now.
A man hailing from Upparpally of Chennaraopet mandal of Warangal rural district has tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. He had gone to his native place a few days ago and tested positive when he moved back to his home in Hyderabad. His family members and primary contacts were shifted to quarantine centres.
Telangana on Tuesday reported 178 new cases including 143 from GHMC limits and 35 from other nine districts. Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 148 with six more people died to the coronavirus. The state recorded 3,920 total cases and the total active cases were at 2030.
