National Students Union of India organises blood donation camp in Khammam

Congress leaders donating blood on the occasion of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s 75th birth anniversary celebrations in Khammam on Tuesday

Khammam: On account of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's 75th birth anniversary celebrations, the students wing of Congress party, National Students' Union of India (NSUI), organised a blood donation camp on the party office premises in Khammam town on Tuesday.

Over 100 party leaders donated the blood during the programme that was launched by district Congress party president P Durga Prasad. Speaking on the occasion, Durga Prasad remembered the services of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi to the country. Before the blood donation, the Congress leaders garlanded a portrait of Rajiv Gandhi and paid tributes.

Former MLC P Nageswara Rao, town Congress president MD Javid, NSUI district leader Yadlapally Santosh, ZPTC B Srinivas, women Congress wing president B Mani, senior leader P Venkaiah, Tajuddin, N Naresh and others attended the programme.

Meanwhile, district Youth Congress president V Uday distributed prizes to students who won the essay writing competition held by the NSUI. Students from Women's Degree College and Government Junior College took part in the competition.
