Officials get cracking for census in Nizamabad, Kamareddy districts
Nizamabad/Kamareddy: The officials are nowadays busy for the conduct of census in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts and the staff required for the population enumeration has been recruited and the training phase is also about to end soon.
The Central and State governments have already issued directives to hold the census from April 1 next year. Officials of the Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts have initiated action to determine the revenue boundaries.
The Director of State Census has directed officials that action should be taken to collect demographic and household information on the basis of new districts.
The census was conducted in 2011 in undivided Andhra Pradesh. In 2014 Telangana State came into being and this was followed by the reorganisation of villages, mandals and districts in the new State. As many as 33 districts were carved out of the 10 districts of Telangana State and thus Kamareddy district was formed out of Nizamabad district.
On the other hand, a fragmented part was added to Rajnana Sirisilla district. Officials are making arrangements to carry out the census taking into consideration the administration and geographical changes.
Reorganisation of new mandals, municipalities, Revenue divisions, new panchayats and wards in the State have come into effect recently. Currently, Kamareddy and Nizamabad officials are preparing a comprehensive report on these issues.
Officials are also engaged in the preparation of a report on the boundaries of the newly established panchayats and within the mandals they are located.
For the first time, census arrangements are being made to ensure accuracy using modern technology across the country. The Top - View - Persons Identification (TVIP) method is designed to carry out the census using the mobile app. The mobile app is computed by connecting the Senses Unique user ID.
Statistics officers carry out the process after boundaries are examined in other detail. It will be done in two stages.
The first stage involves the enumeration of houses or structures under the enumeration block. This is called the households survey. RC houses or shelters have a toilet? If the built-in toilet facility is available; is it used.
The infrastructure includes electricity, well and water tap connection. The first phase should be completed by December 2020. The second step involves calculating how many people live in those homes.
Banswada, Ellareddy and Bhimgal have become the new municipalities in the joint district. Nearby villages have merged into the municipalities of Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Armoor and Bodhan. With the division of districts, the boundaries of panchayats and municipalities have changed. The boundaries are identified with the details of the newly formed mandals and the villages in their areas. With the passage of the new Municipal Law, the boundaries of divisions in municipalities have changed. In the common district, the suburbs along with Thanda emerged as new panchayats. Against this backdrop, comprehensive data are being prepared for the census. As the village and urban maps are crucial, the functionality for the preparation is made.
Four officers (master trainers) recently selected from the two districts have been trained in the state capital for a week.
Officials in the two districts have been drilling in the backdrop of hiring a nodal officer for field census and training of staff to begin this month. How many government employees and teachers will be involved in just few days. Enumerators are required to collect information on each household, social classes, and complete data by field level enumerators 2021. The 150 houses are divided into a block and counted. Officials say there will be a survey of livestock and households before the census.
