Officials told to keep tabs on poll expenses

Rangareddy: Chevella, Parigi, Tandur and Vikarabad elections expenditure observer V Prasad Hanumantha Rao asked officials concerned to count Lok Sabha elections candidates expenditure and a tight vigilance at check posts during night times.

He held a review meeting on elections expenditure and details of candidates' expenditure at collectorate here on Wednesday.

Prasad advised officials to complain about the distribution of money and liquor and record every issue related to the candidates.

He asked the officials to inform about candidates' expenditure from nominations day to elections day.

Prasad said that officials should submit pro-forma as per prescribed rates for campaign vehicles, meetings, rallies and paid news.

He asked officials to complain about matters regarding violation of election code through cVigil app and added that the officials will swing into the action within 24 hours.

Prasad appealed to people to complain about irregularities in Chevella, Parigi, Vikarabad, and Tandur elections by writing a mail to gp.observerchyevella@gmail.com or dialing 6309009216.

He visited the district media centre and enquired about elections process.
