Officials told to speed up Mission Bhagiratha works in Suryapet
Suryapet: District Collector Amoy Kumar directed the officials concerned to finish all the pending works pertaining to Mission Bhagiratha scheme in the district at the earliest. On Wednesday, he held a meeting with officials concerned at his chamber. The Collector inquired about the status of works of pipelines, tanks and tap fittings across the district.
The Collector informed that of the total 831 new tanks in four Assembly constituencies in the district, so far works of 704 tanks have been completed. Similarly, of the 497 old tanks in the district, repair were made to 470 tanks. The Collector instructed the officials to carryout repairs to the remaining 27 tanks at the earliest.
Stating that officials must strive to provide safe drinking water to every household under Mission Bhagiratha scheme, he informed that it was duty of engineering officials to make the scheme a huge success.
Mission Bhagiratha Superintending Engineer Madhu Sudan Reddy, Divisional Engineer Venkateshwarlu and mandal-level Assistant Engineers attended the meeting.
