One more Hyderabadi dead
Hyderabad: One more Hyderabadi, Ozair Kadir, died in the terror attack on a Christchurch mosque in New Zealand. Ozair Kadir (25) was a student in an aviation college and an aspiring pilot. According to reports reaching here, Kadir went to perform Namaz at Masjid Al Noor in Christchurch and went missing since the day of attack. His family was searching for him since the attack.
Meanwhile, his name figured in the list released by the Indian High Commission in New Zealand. Kadir's family members are yet to confirm the news of his death. Kadair is a resident of Noorkhan Bazar X Road in Darulshifa area in the Old City. He was pursuing his studies in New Zealand for the past one year. His brother Omar is already working as a pilot with a private airliner in Hyderabad.
According to Omar, he along with his mother left for New Zealand and his father who was in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia will be reaching Hyderabad on Sunday night. MIM MLA Mumtaz Khan and party MLC Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi and others reached Kadir's house and extended their support to the family members.
Earlier two persons from Telangana were confirmed dead in the attack on mosques in Christchurch, namely Farhaj Ahsan, an engineer from Tolichowki in Hyderabad and Mohammed Imran Khan who belongs to Karimnagar.
