Only TS supplies 24 hrs power to farm sector: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar

Khammam: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar along with MP Nama Nageswara Rao and MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah participated in development works in Khammam district on Saturday.

The Minister inaugurated 33/11 KV substation in Lankasagar village under the Penuballi mandal constructed at the cost of 1.30 crore. Addressing on the occasion, he said that Telangana is the only State in the country which is giving round the clock power supply to farmers. He said to tide over the low voltage power in villages, a number of sub stations are being constructed in the villages.

Khamam MP Nama Nageswara Rao said under the 30-day action plan the government focused on the development of power in all villages. He said the government is implementing the flagship programmes such as Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema for the farmers.

MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and other leaders also addressed at the programme. Later they visited paddy centre at Kallur village and interacted with farmers. District Collector RV Karnan, Joint Collector Hanumanth Kodimba, Zilla Parishad chariman Lingala Kamal Raju , MLC B Laxmi Narayana, and other leaders attended the programme.
