Yadadri: A political scuffle broke out over engraving of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao face besides his Telangana Rashtra Samithi party symbol, several government schemes and other political leaders on pillars of Yadadri temple on Friday.

Expressing outrage and concern over the State government's malicious political attitude in Yadadri temple revival works, the activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Parirakshana Samithi, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress staged a protest in front of the main temple on Yadadri hillock.

A few activists of the saffron brigade even tried to attempt suicide when police obstructed them from entering the temple to examine the pillars. Soon, a scuffle broke out between the police and the protestors on the hillock.

The leaders of both the BJP and the Congress demanded the State government and the Yadadri Temple Development Authority to remove the engravings of the Chief Minister, TRS party symbol and others from the pillars of the temple to protect the sanctity of the shrine.

Even the priests of the temple echoed the opinion of BJP leaders and stated that it was not good for the temple as per the Agama Shastra.

Further, BJP firebrand leader Raja Singh is going to visit Yadadri hillock on Saturday and stage a protest over the issue.
