Osmania General Hospital doesn't send any patient back, says Superintendent Dr Nagender

Hyderabad: Osmania General Hospital Superintendent Dr Nagender clarified that they are not refusing admission to any corona suspected cases coming for treatment.

Reacting to reports of a Central government employee's 41-year-old-wife with fever denied admission in ten hospitals in twin-cities on Wednesday night including OGH, leading to her death, Dr Nagender said that they have not rejected any cases even though hospital is being flocked with patients from last few weeks.

He said he would initiate action if the victims' family contacts the administration of any negligence on their part. The superintendent said that when we are not sending any single case despite overload why that patient would be sent without admission, he said.

The deceased woman's husband P Srikanth said that he took his wife in an ambulance and was made to go around the city as nearly 10 hospitals including corporate and a few government hospitals refused admission citing different reasons.

He alleged that his wife had just complained of fever and breathing problems and without being diagnosed with coronavirus also hospitals just shut the door on them without bothering to save her life which ultimately led to her death.
