OU denies permission to Student JAC's public meeting tomorrow

Hyderabad: Following Osmania University Student JAC's announcement of conducting a public meeting at the campus on October 25, the university authorities have denied permission to student organisations from holding any kind of public meetings in the premises.

The university authorities appealed to the student organisations, research scholars, students, teaching and nonteaching staff to maintain peace in the university and not disturb the academic ambience, an official statement said here on Wednesday.

The administration stated that the premier university in the State and India, has been established for the purpose of imparting higher education and conducting research in various disciplines.

The primary objective of the university is purely academic and research oriented.
