Our confidence levels have gone up, say Vaktha participants

Hyderabad: Participants of 77th batch of Vaktha felt like reaching new heights in their professional efficiency with their increased confidence levels, after attending the two-day training session on public speaking which was jointly organised by HMTV and Kaushalya School of Life Skills in Jubilee Hills on June 8 and 9.

Those who took part felt like transforming into a personality which has the capacity to change society. The aspiring politicians and social workers with high-level of self-confidence vowed to bring an impact on society with their enhanced communication skills.

Some of them felt a complete change in their attitude and body language within two-days of training and asserted to maintain poise obtained through tips.

The Director (Training), Kapil Group and the lead faculty of the program D Bal Reddy, who gave tips on public speaking, asked the participants to note down and practise them regularly, if they were seriously aiming to transform themselves into good orators.

S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language, trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place. He explained as to how the orator, should communicate the subject with the coordinating actions of hands.

K Srikanth, another faculty, explained the important techniques of voice modulation, since a good speaker maintains a high tone while delivering the speech. He made students practice some of the important tips and showed how voice culture and modulation can make a person an effective public speaker.

While giving their feedback, A Sridhar Reddy from Karimnagar explained as to how he overcame all his stage fear and shed all his inhibitions after attending the training. He said the systematic way the faculty provided the tips over various aspects of public speaking had a positive impact on him.

Moreover, the examples throwing light on the capability of human beings and tiny birds taking flight of thousands of kilometers across continents have only added to his morale boost.

G Padma Rani from Warangal found a change in her and now felt more confident about her future. She promised to tell about Vaktha to her friends. The confident, V Balakrishna, from Komaram-Bheem district now wished to be called on stage, who otherwise avoided being invited to speak on stage.
