Over 1,500 idols immersed in Godavari in Bhadrachalam

Bhadrachalam: Nearly 1,500 idols were immersed here in the river Godavari in Bhadrachalam, according to officials. Devotees from across the district brought a large number of Ganesh idols to the temple for immersion in the river Godavari. As many as 500 idols were immerses by 6 pm on Thursday.

The police, Irrigation, Panchayat and Health officers made massive arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the programme. District Collector Rajath Kumar Saini inspected the immersion ghats on Thusday and reviewed the arrangements with Sub-Collector Bavesh Mishra and Assistant Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chandra. Meanwhile, temple officers made special arrangements for providing hassle-free darshan at the temple of Lord Rama.
