Over 2,500 passengers screened at Hyderabad airport on Thursday
Around 2,881 passengers were screened at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Thursday and eleven out of them suspected coronavirus symptoms were sent to the hospital and 71 of them were asked to remain in self-quarantine.
Meanwhile, the samples of 11 passengers were sent to the laboratory and the reports are awaited.
Due to the increase in the suspected cases of the virus, the state government set up three more thermal screening machines to speed up the process. Earlier, there was only one thermal screening machine.
Earlier, this week health minister Eatala Rajender visited the airport and inspected the thermal screening machine and also enquired about the other arrangements being made for the passengers.
