Over 5.77 lakh Palamuru farmers receive 464 crore of Rythu Bandhu funds
Mahbubnagar: With the onset of Kharif season, the State government has deposited input capital of Rs 5,000 per each acre, accounting to Rs 464 crore, into the bank accounts of over 5.77 lakh farmers against the eligible farmers of 8.93 lakh during the past four days across various districts of Palamuru region.
With this, the delighted farmers are now busy in farming activities. However, a few farmers, who didn't receive the input capital due to various reasons, are depressed and constantly visiting the banks and revenue officials to resolve the problems. They are urging the authorities to help them to get Rythu Bandhu input subsidy.
For instance, a farmer from Itikyala mandal of Gadwal district, who has four acres under survey numbers 286 and 287, has lost one acre for the Nettampadu Lift Irrigation project. But the revenue officials had put these two survey numbers in blacklist because of which the farmer is now deprived of Rythu Bandhu for the remaining farmland. This farmer from Itikyala lamented that though he gave up his land for the government project, the revenue authorities had put his lands under blacklist and deprived them of Rythu Bandu scheme. "We have already brought this to the notice of the revenue and district authorities. But they said that they would enquire into the matter and tried to resolve the problem. But we have no hopes of getting the financial aid during this Kharif season," he said.
According to official records, there are over 900 such farmer accounts, whose lands have been put under blacklist in the district, thus depriving them of Rythu Bandhu. According to Agriculture department official records, of the total 8.93 lakh eligible farmers across five districts of Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Gadwal, Wanaparthy and Mahbubnagar, till now 7.06 lakh farmers' accounts have been registered in the government treasury. Of this, the government has released an amount of Rs 464 crores in the last four days.
On the other hand, those farmers, who have more than 10 acres, are also not getting Rythu Bandhu benefits.
Many farmers opined that the government should have considered to release Rythu Bandhu to these farmers, considering them under the group of less than 10 acres.
