Palle Pragathi ushering in great change: Finance Minister T Harish Rao
Sangareddy: Villages are benefiting a lot from the 'Palle Pragathi' programme being implemented by the TRS government. Poverty that was visible for over 70 years was being eradicated rapidly in the region, remarked Finance Minister T Harish Rao. He was distributing tractors to gram panchayats at a function held at Ambedkar Stadium here on Friday. He gave away 56 tractors to the panchayats.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao said the villagers were entirely changed due to the government initiatives such as sanctioning funds, appointment of secretaries, taking up development programmes with public cooperation. He also explained in detail about the works completed during the Palle Pragathi programme. It would be held thrice a year for 10 days each.
Later, the Finance Minister reviewed the progress of 30-day special action plan at the collectorate. He announced that secretaries who worked hard would be rewarded on the Republic Day.
MPs Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and BB Patil, MLAs Kranthi Kiran, Manik Rao and Bhupal Reddy, MLC Fareeduddin, DCCB Chairman Devender Reddy, District Collector M Hanumantha Rao, Joint Collector Nikhila, MPP, ZPTCs, sarpanches, officers and others were present.
