Panel to probe charges of irregularities

Hyderabad: State Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Sunday assured that not a single student who has written the Intermediate Public Examinations-2019 (IPE-2019) will be at loss and a committee is appointed to look into the allegations of irregularities in the declaration of the results.

The Minister assured the parents and students after a review meeting with the State Education Secretary Dr B Janardhan Reddy and other senior officials here on the issue of irregularities in the declaration of the IPE-2019 results.

He said that it was brought to his notice that the apprehensions over the intermediate results were caused due to the internal bickering among the officials of the Board.

At the same time to clear the apprehensions it was decided to appoint a committee headed by MD Venkateswara Rao to hold an inquiry and submit its report on the allegations within three days, he added.

Besides, Prof Vasan from the BITS, Hyderabad and Professor Nishant from IIT, Hyderabad will be the members of the committee, he said.

The Minister said that while Prof Vasan is an expert in IT and Prof Nishant is experienced in conducting the competitive examinations.

He appealed to the parents not to worry about the results due to the apprehensions created and asked them to apply for recounting and re-verification of marks and answer papers.

"In case, the parents or students found any mistakes in their mark lists they can apply for the recounting of marks and re-verification of their answer sheets. We will ensure that the mistakes are corrected," Jagadish Reddy said.
