Peddapalli: Love's labour lost; girl climbs water tank, threatens suicide
Peddapalli: A girl on Thursday climbed a water tank to demand that she be married to her lover in Peddapalli.
According to sources, Dharma Anusha and Anavena Srikanth of Appannapet village of Peddapalli rural mandal were in love for two years. Unaware of the fact that their daughter is in love with a boy, her parents started searching matches for her.
When her parents started forcing her to marry the boy they choose, Anusha asked Srikanth to marry her.
He rejected to marry her. So, Anusha climbed a water tank demanding the village elders to do justice to her. Otherwise, she threatened to jump down. Immediately after knowing about this, the village elders and local authorities rushed to the spot and solved the issue.
