People of TS knew only 'red bus' for travel, says Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy said that people of Telangana were familiar with 'red bus' for travelling. But, the State has got several trains and new railway projects after Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power at the Centre.

Addressing a joint media conference with Union Minister of Railways, Piyush Goyal here on Tuesday, he thanked Modi and the Railway Minister on behalf of the people of TS and AP, for sanctioning new projects, particularly in Telangana, which has been deprived for long.

He said that the Railways has launched high-speed wifi facilities in 427 stations, as part of Digital India to bring new technologies closer to the people.

As part of this, the facility was also launched in 27 railway station in TS and Andhra Pradesh, he added. Kishan Reddy said Railways has introduced 48 new trains and extended the destinations of 50 more trains in the last five years benefitting the State. There are new Railway lines sanctioned for both Telangana and AP, he said.

The Railway Minister earlier launched several development projects, including a new satellite station at Cherlapalli. Union Minister of Home Affairs, State BJP president Dr K Laxman also highlighted how the Railways and power sector have benefitted people during under the leadership of Piyush Goyal.
