People should contribute to cleanliness: District Collector M Rammohan Rao

Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao said people should extend their total cooperation to the city governing body staff to keep the Nizamabad city clean.

On Thursday morning, the Collector and Municipal Commissioner toured the city along with the town planning engineering officials and inspected clean and green, sanitation works in the streets.

The Collector urged the citizens not to throw garbage and plastic waste on the roads and to dump the waste in special places set up by the municipal corporation.Or people can handover the waste to the garbage collectors, set up by the municipality,he added. Rao told the municipal authorities to interact with the residents of various colonies in the city to know their problems and later to solve these problems.

The Collector warned the people, who live in lowlands that heavy rains are expected and to take immediate steps. He visited railway station, RTC bus stand, behind the Government Hospital, Khaleelwadi, Dwaraka Nagar, Mirchi Market, Kasabthalli, Chandra Nagar cross, Rotary Nagar, Lalitha Nagar, Gayatri Nagar, Hanuman Junction and other areas in the city. Residents of Phullong chowrasta explained their problems to the Collector. Rao asked the municipal staff to improve sanitation and drainage systems in the city.

City Commissioner John Samson, Town Planning Officer Jalandhar Reddy, municipal engineers Rashid, Anand and others have accompanied the Collector.
