People should participate in making beautiful Adilabad: Collector D Divya
Adilabad: District Collector D Divya called upon the people to participate in making beautiful and healthy Adilabad while addressing a meeting on special sanitation programme with municipal ward special officers, Ward Committee members at Zilla Parishad conference hall in Adilabad on Thursday.
Addressing on the occasion, the Collector said that the town's population is about one 1,50,000. To know the ward wise problems special officers are coming to respective ward in two days, and will find out the problems. To make the town beautiful officers need participation of people. In every ward committee will be formed with MEPMA staff, Senior citizen and two youth, to provide in to the infrastructure, especially sanitation, drinking water, street lights like facilities in municipal wards.
Officers were told to clean road side bushes, sewerage's filled with garbage and to create awareness among the people to not to dump garbage in drainage. She also told them to collect dry, wet garbage separately and shift them to the dumping yard regularly. She also directed them to clear construction material form main roads of wards, time to time. She called upon the people to protect saplings planted under Haritha Haram scheme and plan to arrange park in every ward, to create healthy atmosphere, also to arrange walking track, Yoga, open gym, told to conduct program from December 2 to 16, she said.
The Collector wanted the people to participate in the programme to make the city beautiful, collector discussed the problems ward members ward wise. Soon in ten days garbage collecting vehicles will be arranged to every ward, she informed.
