Pharma City threat to future of Telangana
Hyderabad: Pharma City Opposing Committee (PCOC) in a release here on Friday criticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch Pharma City near the city. The committee said people from all walks of life had been opposing the idea since its inception in 2017.
"KCR's statement regarding 11,000 acres of land acquired for the purpose is a false one. He is giving all false reports. Villagers and women who took part in the public meeting held by National BC Commission in September opposed Pharma City in unison.
Only pharma industrialists and the government will benefit from the initiative, leaving people to their fate. Pharma City is a threat to the future of Telangana. People will lose lands and fall prey to pollution. We will vote for those who oppose Pharma City in the coming MLC elections," said PCOC representatives Saraswati Kavula, K Ganesh, Narasimha Rao and G Mallesh and farmers at a press meet.
