Phase 2 of ZPTC, MPTC polling underway in Telangana

The polling for 179 ZPTC seats and 1,850 is underway in the second phase in Telangana. Around 805 candidates are in the fray in the ZPTC elections and 6,146 for MPTC seat.
In the second phase, one ZPTC seat and 63 MPTC seats were declared as unanimous. As many as 10,371 polling centres were arranged by the election commission.
The polling began at 7 am in the morning and will conclude at 5 pm. However, the polling will end at 4 pm in Maoist-hit areas.
The elections are being held through ballot and counting would be held on May 27.
