Nalgonda: Plant more for more rains

Nagarjunasagar (Nalgonda): Zilla Parishad chairman Banda Narender Reddy urged people to take part in State government's flagship Haritha Haram programme and plant saplings in the Nalgonda district and increase the green cover for more rains.

On Friday, along with local MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah, Narender Reddy participated in the Haritha Haram programme at Guntipally village of Nidamanoor mandal in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, spending funds from Zilla Parishad and MLC quota funds of Tera Chinnapa Reddy, bushes spread in 50 acres of government land in the village would be cleared. The leaders also participated in cheques distribution of BC Corporation loans held at mandal parishad office in Halia.

Speaking on the occasion, both the leaders informed that the State government has been spending Rs 45,000 crore on welfare schemes for the betterment of every section of the society.

Local public representatives, officials, party leaders, beneficiaries and villagers participated in the programmes.
