Plantation drive goes on at brisk pace in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini informed that the fifth phase of State government's flagship programme Haritha Haram was going at a brisk pace in the district. Attending the video conference of State Chief Secretary SK Joshi with the all district collectors, Rajat Kumar Saini gave details regarding the progress of the programme in the district and stated that the saplings plantation was going at brisk pace and officials of various departments, school students and villagers were actively taking part in it.

The Collector informed that the district had set a target of planting over 1.5 crore saplings this year, of which, Forest department would plant over 30.99 lakh saplings followed by police department 30 lakh and the remaining by the rest of the departments.

Joint Collector K Venkateswarlu, Integrated Tribal Development Agency Project Officer VP Goutham, Forest Officer S Rambabu, District Rural Development Agency Project Director P Jagath Kumar Reddy, Revenue Divisional Officer Swarna Latha and other officials attended the video conference.
