Karimnagar: Alleging that the government is trying to suppress the RTC strike, district TDP president Nujetti Vani on Saturday said the police officials are misbehaving with women conductors so that they withdraw from the strike.

Addressing the media persons at the TDP office in Karimnagar, Vani condemned the police action against the women conductors in Warangal. She alleged that police are involved in shameful acts by misbehaving with women conductors. Instead of deploying women police, males are trying to drag, pinch and hurt the women conductors and are trying to kill their self respect which will not be tolerated.

Even former Deputy Speaker Padma Devandar Reddy was also insulted by the police. It has become a fashion and habit of the police and TRS leaders to insult and criticise women living in Telangana, she pointed out.

She demanded the government to be aware of people who are watching its every move and are ready to teach a fitting lesson in the coming days. TDP leaders D Sathyam, K Agaiah, N Bala Goud, S Rajesham, E Ravinder, A Kishan, and E Vineeth were present on the occasion.
