Police, PPs should work closely to punish guilty: DCP Rakshitha

Mancherial: Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakshitha K Murthy asked the police officers to work in coordination with the public prosecutor (PP) to punish the guilty.

She spoke at a training programme with police officials on the collection of evidence and investigation procedure from FIR to charge sheet, at M Convention in Mancherial on Friday.

The DCP created awareness to the district police officers and writers on how to produce evidence in court, investigation procedure, bails, remands, police custody and about Supreme Court conviction.

They discussed the problems they are facing in prosecution with public prosecutor Ramana Reddy at the meeting.

As most of the people have no knowledge about criminal punishments, the DCP held a meeting with public prosecutors and discussed about the punishments given to the guilty in court, action plan to be followed and other points. She told the officials concerned to ensure that the guilty will be punished, so as to induce fear among the criminals about punishment to prevent crime and to develop confidence on police system among the public.

Mancherial ACP Ghouse Baba, Bellampalli ACP Balu Jadav, Jaipur ACP Venkat Reddy, special branch inspectors Venkateshwarlu, Narayana, Mancherial Circle Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors, writers and others were present at the meeting.
