Police will support martyrs families: Nirmal SP

Nirmal: As part of week-long activities marking the Police Commemoration Week, Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju visited the residences of police martyrs – head-constables Shaik Hyder Ali, Asif Ali and Bhojaram here on Friday and paid floral tributes to their portraits.

The SP assured the family members of the deceased that the district police will help them any time and invited them to attend with family members to the Police Commemoration day programme to be held on October 21.

As part of the week-long programmes, 150 police personnel donated blood to Nirmal Government Hospital at a camp at the district police office in Nirmal and Mudhole police station on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said police personnel across the country are sacrificing their lives for the safety and security of the people. The sacrifices of the martyrs are priceless and the public needs to honour police martyrs. He said by donating blood one can save lives of those in need. He distributed fruits to the blood donors.

Additional SI Dakshinamurthy, Venkat Reddy, SB Inspector Venkatesh, Administrative Officer Venkat Shekar, Government Hospital Superintendent Suresh, CIs John Diwakar and Srinivas Reddy, DCRB Inspector Ramesh Babu, CCS Inspector Ramesh Babu, RI Venkat, Sis, RSIs, constables and others were present.
