Prajavani: 6 complaints of dowry harassment, domestic violence received in Wanaparthy

Wanaparthy: As part of Prajavani programme on Monday, Superintendent of Police Apoorva Rao received six complaints pertaining to domestic violence and dowry harassment from people.

Examining the complaints, the SP expressed concern over the growing violence against women in the district.

The SP was particular about those who were harassing women for dowry and subjecting them to domestic violence.

"We have received six complaints related to domestic violence and dowry harassment and cases relating to dispute between wife and husband. This apart, we have also received some complaints related to civil disputes. We are looking into all these cases, and have directed the concerned area police officials to take early action and resolve the issues at the earliest," said Rao.
