Prawn farming is profitable: Kamareddy ZP chief Shobha
Kamareddy: Aquaculture and shrimp production may increase in Telangana State, said ZP chairman Dafedar Shobha. Along with Jukkal MLA Hanmanth Shinde, Sobha released 18.30 lakh prawn seeds in Nizam Sagar project and Singitham reservoir on Wednesday. ZP chief Shobha hoped for good rainfall and higher shrimp price may boost production in the entire Telangana.
MLA Hanmanth Shinde said that there is a possibility of more employment opportunities in the district as the government is supplying prawn seeds free.
MPP Patola Jyoti Durga Reddy, agricultural market vice-chairman Gaini Vittal, district officer Purnima, FDO Dole Singh, ex-ZP chairman Dafedar Raju, CDS chairman Durga Reddy, society chairman Mohan Reddy, MPTC and sarpanches were present on the occasion.
