Prepare action plan for Haritha Haram 5th phase in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: City Municipal Commissioner G Venugopal Reddy directed the officials concerned to prepare an action plan for the perfect implementation of fifth phase of Haritha Haram (HH) under the city municipal limits to turn it into a Green Karimnagar.

He held a review meeting with the Haritha Haram section officials and staff members near the market water tank in Karimnagar on Thursday and enquired the officials about the places where the project was implemented in previous years and the steps

taken to give protection to the planted saplings.

Commissioner Venugopal Reddy told the officials to be prepared for the implementation of HH fifth phase perfectly by acquiring various kinds of fruit and flower bearing saplings related to flower and fruit yielding from nurseries along with

medical plants.

The officials were told to identify the places on the either side of main roads and other vacant areas of government lands where the programme can be implemented and to make necessary arrangements like digging pits and tree guards for giving protection to the planted saplings.

The Commissioner also asked the officials to take steps for involving the people in the programme to plant maximum number of saplings to turn the Karimnagar into green city.

Divisional Engineer Raman and Superintending Engineer Mohan Reddy were present along with others.
