All the measures have been taken to prevent the TSRTC workers from going on strike tomorrow, said the government's special chief secretary Somesh Kumar on Friday after a long discussion with the TSRTC unions.

The three-member committee headed by the Somesh Kumar spoke to media after the talks with RTC unions failed. "A stern action will be taken if the TSRTC goes on strike," it warned the RTC workers adding that the government takes some time to resolve the issues. The committee also said that the government is taking alternate measures like running private buses if strike commences tomorrow.

"School buses will also be run if needed along with the private buses so as not to provide inconvenience to the public heading to their native places for Dasara," the committee said. It also said that the workers will be sacked under ESMA act if they take part in the strike.

The government has provided Rs 3003 crore assistance to the TSRTC since the formation of state and has been allocating more funds than prescribed in the budget.
