Protests erupt in Hyderabad against Delhi violence, Security tightened
Security tightened up in Hyderabad after protests erupted on Tuesday night against the violence in Delhi that left 13 people dead. People took out candle-light protests at Tolichowli, King Koti, Yakutpura and Seven Tombs road raising slogans against the Delhi police.
The protestors also carried placards demanding the withdrawal of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Population Register (NPR) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). However, the protests on the tank bund were foiled by the city police.
A march has been called on the tank bund to condemn the Delhi police attack. However, the city police deployed large of police personnel and emptied the tank bund before 9 pm.

Meanwhile, the Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar asked the people to be alert and united and make sure that no mischief-maker tries to take advantage of the situation in Delhi. He further asked the national media to restrict in telecasting the disturbing scenes from Delhi.
